Traditional

I never though I’d like traditional animation (though when I used to think about it I really only thought of cell animation) but when some animators from Big Idea (The maker’s of Veggie Tales) came to teach at my school I quickly learned how fun and effective it can be. I’ve included examples of my stop motion, cut-out puppet, and sand work. I’ve also done some drawn animation (though never cell), clay on glass, and charcoal. One of the things I’ve been experimenting with a lot lately though is mixing traditional animation in with other forms of animation or even live-action. In “The Existential Predator” and my DVD Intro I included crayon animation along with the other elements. I’ve been experimenting in crayon animation a lot lately and I’m planning on my next traditional animation to be in crayon. Check out my “In Progress” section for more information on “The Girl Whose Parents Turned into Dragons.
