Togetherness
This is actually the first scene in a feature length movie I wrote. I tried a lot with this short to make something with a high level of craft…unfortunately the actor had issues and the sound was terrible. Because of all this I cut out over half of the film including some of the most beautiful scenes. I hope to someday film the entire film, including this scene again, and I get a chance to include everything.
The dialog in this film actually comes from a thought I had while talking to a friend while driving around. I was feeling a bit spacey and out of nowhere I saw a person in a car across from me. It flooded in that this was most likely the only time I’d ever see that person. Of course this brought on a lot of thoughts about closeness and having a relationship with my wife has brought even more. I think people can be happy, but I wonder how close we can be…we’re never really “one flesh” if that makes any sense.
